Sal Alajek

In 2025, Sal joined many of his former Halsall colleagues at Sense Engineering, where he is a Project Principal with nearly 20 years of experience in existing building restoration and retrofit. His work encompasses building envelope, structural, and mechanical systems, with expertise in evaluating durability, sustainability, and occupant comfort implications in design and construction. Known for his collaborative leadership, technical excellence, and passion for solving complex building challenges, Sal works closely with clients and multidisciplinary teams to develop practical, high-performing solutions that enhance building performance and long-term asset value. Sal is a Licensed Professional Engineer and a Registered Roof Observer (RRO) with the International Institute of Building Enclosure Consultants (IIBEC).
